Why Use Carrier Oils

Why use carrier oils (also known as massage oils and message oils)?

Powerful and highly concentrated, pure essential oils can cause skin irritations. With a few exceptions, most should not be applied directly to the skin. When mixes with a high quality carrier oil, the concentrated molecules are diluted to the strength of your choice.  Dilution also makes it easier to spread the essential oil over the skin's surface.
 
There are some distinct advantages to carrier oils.  They do not evaporate like essential oils.  Instead, they help lock in the essential oil and they also help improve absorption into the skin.  They also help nourish the outer layers of your skin while providing valuable nutrient rich vitamins and fatty acids to the cellular structure within.
