Inspired by Nature's Critters - Circle of Vitality Oils

Our animal friends are deeply connected to the Earth and to the rhythms of life.

They have no hidden agendas, no greed and they don't lie.

They do, however, have characteristics, qualities, skills and talents that can serve, teach and tutor humanity.

Our Kindred Animal Spirits demonstrate potential characteristics, qualities, talents, abilities or strengths that constitute an expression of our own personality.

The animal world shows us the potentials that lie within us. Some animals are excellent parents and nurturers, teaching us patience, respect, love and loyalty. Others are great protectors and show us how to have courage and overcome fear. While some are teachers of fun and play reminding us of the needs of the child within.

Bonded in friendship our "Kindred Spirit" animal friends can rescue us, teach us, and can be a vehicle for wisdom that will serve us.

THE CIRCLE

The circle or wheel, one of the oldest symbols dating back to ancient times and found in ancient ruins on virtually every continent, is one of the most primal symbols of life. It can be found throughout the world's indigenous cultures. Sometimes represented as a "medicine wheel", "circle of life", or "web of life".
Each culture views their wheel or circle from a slightly different perspective but each has a common understanding that the circle represents a map of the balance, harmony and the cycles of nature.

Representing the circular nature of the seasons and cycles of life. From birth, to adolescent, to young adult, to mid-life, and wise elder-hood, then the return to dirt within mother earth and our creator.

There is a Kindred Spirit Blend to assist, teach and nurture each of us along the way. Whether we're struggling with a life challenge, wondering about a life-question, or just wanting to navigate the inevitable daily 'ups & downs', the Kindred Spirits can assist.
The Kindred Spirit blends are represented by plant essences that are alive, intelligent, and interactive. We promise you that they are unlike any other essential oils blends that have ever existed.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense Oil is Extracted from Frankincense Tree Resin
Frankincense Essential Oil (Boswellia carteri) is a very popular oil for many. It is also one of the many oils mentioned in the Bible.

So what is it about Frankincense essential oil that people love so much?

Frankincense has a deep, rich aroma that is very comforting. The essential oil is actually extracted from resin which the Frankincense tree produces in response to a wound in its trunk. The resin seals off the wound and helps the tree heal. There is something very special about the oil. Just like it helps the tree heal and repair, it helps bring about deep reserves of inner strength to heal and calm us.

Frankincense has a lot of therapeutic qualities as well. People agree that its one of the best oils for helping skin cells repair which makes it a popular ingredient to use in blends that assist with healing and reducing of scar tissue. It's also used in facial cleanser recipes and it's useful for the care of mature skin.

It’s also an ingredient used in respiratory blends that help support colds and chronic conditions such as asthma.

Other uses include:

    Relieving or preventing headaches.
    Easing tension in neck muscles.
Soothing inflammation and relieving pain in joints or muscles.
Helps to calm our mind, center our thoughts, and soothe anxiety.

Contemplating and understanding the nature and power of plants helps us connect with them in deep and profound ways.

Why Use Carrier Oils

Why use carrier oils (also known as massage oils and message oils)?

Powerful and highly concentrated, pure essential oils can cause skin irritations. With a few exceptions, most should not be applied directly to the skin. When mixes with a high quality carrier oil, the concentrated molecules are diluted to the strength of your choice.  Dilution also makes it easier to spread the essential oil over the skin's surface.

There are some distinct advantages to carrier oils.  They do not evaporate like essential oils.  Instead, they help lock in the essential oil and they also help improve absorption into the skin.  They also help nourish the outer layers of your skin while providing valuable nutrient rich vitamins and fatty acids to the cellular structure within.

###

Just like any product you put on your skin, and especially when using essential oils, make sure you use only pure-grade carrier oils with your therapeutic-grade essential oils.

Nourishing, pure carrier oils can be found at:  GoDesana Essential Oils.

Bergamot - Nature's Prozac

Bergamot - "Nature's Prozc"

Bergamot, Citrus bergamia

Research has verified Bergamot’s capacity for restoring emotional balance and, in the process, enhancing the efficacy of treatments for depression and anxiety. Soothing and grounding to those who are anxious or overly stimulated, yet uplifting and stabilizing to individuals suffering from depression.

Bergamot can be used to generate a fresh, delightfully citrus flavor in food. Produces a marvelous synergy when used sparingly in green tea to create a pleasant anti-inflammatory and detoxifying beverage. This can also be helpful in easing digestive issues such as gastritis, colitis, constipation, and ulcers as Bergamot is a potent stimulant to the stomach, spleen, and liver.

Its antiseptic and diuretic qualities make Bergamot a highly beneficial aid with urinary tract infections and cystitis. These same qualities make it helpful with many types of skin problems including prematurely aging skin, oily skin and hair, acne, cold sores, skin infections, eczema, psoriasis, itching, and insect bites. Bergamot can be used as a mouthwash or gargle to ease mouth ulcers and infection (including sore throat), sweeten bad breath, and reduce inflammation.

With a pleasant and uplifting aroma, coupled with its remarkable ability to soothe the emotions, it’s not surprising that Bergamot has earned the title ”Nature’s Prozac” in the aromatherapy world.

Oil of the Month Club

Great News! goDesana -- a Green Organics Company -- has an Oil of the Month Club

What a simple way to build up your Still Room essential oil collection.

Women as healers and care-givers for their families and communities pre-date written history.

From time immemorial, women were expected to give birth, nurture, heal, protect, provide for and spend their days steeped in the tradition of the wise women before them, caring for themselves and their families - and quite often, the entire community.

The skills a woman brought to her marriage could very well determine whether or not that family would live in comfort, have enough to eat, stay well and prosper.

The things we have come to accept as the comforts and necessities of life were placed entirely in the realm of womanly arts.

What is the Stillroom and what is the Stillroom Recipe Book

The Stillroom Recipe book was passed down from mother to daughter and training in the stillroom arts had direct relation to the value a young girl could bring to a marriage.
The word "recipe" originally referred to a medicinal formula, and a recipe book for the Stillroom may contain everything from medicinal recipes to cough syrups, cosmetics, liniments, perfumes, pomanders, food preservation, jams and jellies, wool dyeing, candle making and soap making much like some of the favorite recipes passed down from our ancestors are today. Grandma's famous pie crust or turkey gravy recipe becoming a family legacy passed to the next generation.

Everything that sustained and added quality of life to the family might be found in the Stillroom Recipe book. Family recipes were closely guarded treasures.
Today, with the increasing interest in Aromatherapy, Essential Oils and other natural forms of health care, the arts of the Stillroom are again gaining recognition and are truly the birthright of every woman.

Whenever you make a simple herbal recipe, scent a homemade candle, enjoy a potpourri from your own herb garden, make an herbal vinegar or preserve food, you are participating in the preservation of the tradition of the woman's arts and the legacy from the long-forgotten Stillroom.
When the stresses of our fast-paced lives makes us long for the simpler times, take out your Stillroom recipe book, select a favorite recipe and step back in time.

Join the many women who have gone before you, feeling the connection with these women who have preserved the traditions, celebrations, and warm family memories we enjoy today.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil Benefits

Tea Tree oil is an essential oil distilled from the leaves of the melaluca plant which is native to Australia.  This oil has a triple antiseptic effect by its ability to fight bacteria, fungi and some viruses.

Speaking about bacteria, it also reduces the production of sebum in the sebaceous glands which reduces the production of the bacteria known to cause blemishes.  It is believed that when used in conjunction with glycolic acid, tea tree oil can help destroy the bacteria that can cause acne flare-ups.  Tea tree oil is a great moisturizer and cleanser because it opens clogged pores and removes the bacteria from the skin surface.

It is also considered to be a great antioxidant because of its ability to control free radicals in the body by boosting the production of collagen.

Tea Tree Oil has been used to treat:

  • Mouth ulcers and abscesses
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Acne, Boils, Impetigo, Psoriasis, Carbuncles, Warts
  • Blood circulation
  • Dandruff
  • Vaginitis
  • Thrush
  • Septic wounds, Pus-filled infections
  • Cuts, Abrasions
  • Ringworm
  • Athlete's foot
  • Blisters, Burns
  • Herpes (cold sores)
  • Insect bites
  • Oily Skin, Rashes
  • and, much more
Note:  When using tea tree oil one should be EXTREMELY careful to not use the oil directly because it can cause skin irritations.  It should be diluted with at least one of the following: a carrier oil like jojoba or coconut, vegetable oil, cream, or aloe vera.  We highly suggest that you purchase a carrier oil directly from the company where you purchase your essential oils.

We suggest two companies where you can purchase pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils:
